The Satanic Bible and The Satanic Rituals by Anton Szandor LaVey.

The Swedish translation of The Satanic Bible orginally released by Looking Glass is currently out of print, but a new edition of that translation is in the works and we will announce it here once it becomes available.

The German translation of The Satanic Bible and The Satanic Rituals (re-designed as a single omnibus volume) as well as an audio book version are available from INDEX VERLAG. They will also be releasing a German translation of The Satanic Scriptures.

Camion Noir is offering French translations of The Satanic Bible, The Satanic Rituals and The Secret Life of a Satanist, and will also eventually be releasing the French translation of The Satanic Scriptures.

The Czech translation, a fine hardcover, is also available through the Emporium.

Satanis: The Devil’s Mass is a 1968 documentary film about the Church of Satan. An authorized Church of Satan DVD release, based on Anton LaVey’s personal copy is currently in production, which will feature some fascinating exclusive extras. Watch the News page for the updates. SATANISM TODAY: THE VIDEO VERSION (Volume 1: Episodes 1 & 2)
Fans of the radio version on radiofreesatan.com can now WATCH the first two episodes of this program hosted by Church of Satan member, David Harris. Produced exclusively by Purging Talon, this DVD contains the full-length, digitally mastered first two episodes of the video version, both featuring the High Priest of the Church of Satan, Peter H. Gilmore as guest interviewee. Magus Gilmore discusses issues of Satanic relevance as well as the very tenets and philosophy of Satanism. Not only is this DVD a great introduction to Satanism for the uninitiated (after reading The Satanic Bible, of course), it’s also a worthy sampling of the program’s video version, produced by Rev. Paradise. The disc also includes extras, such as Satanism Today video and radio promos, producer bios, an introduction by David Harris, and more. Future volumes are forthcoming.

Music recorded by Anton LaVey was originally released by Amarillo Records, and they have subsequently licensed Reptilian Records (403 S. Broadway, Baltimore, MD 21231 USA) to rerelease all of these works on their Adversary label.

The original releases were: Strange Music (10"), Satan Takes a Holiday (CD), and The Satanic Mass (CD)—which also includes The Hymn of the Satanic Empire, also known as “Battle Hymn of the Apocalypse,” written and performed by Anton LaVey.

Currently, Reptilian has re-released both The Satanic Mass and Satan Takes a Holiday on their sub-label Adversary. Halloween XXXVIII A.S. marked the release of Threnody for Humanity, a CD of dark music written and performed by Magus Peter H. Gilmore. The Satanic Bible and The Satanic Rituals were published briefly in hardback editions in the early 1970’s by University Books. They turn up very rarely in stacks of used books. Anyone looking for these should probably use a book search service.

The Devil’s Avenger, Burton Wolfe’s 1974 paperback biography of Anton LaVey, is long out of print. Rare copies sometimes turn up through book search services, however.

The Satanic Mass (an LP released by the Church of Satan on its own Murgenstrumm label) was the first recording of authentic Satanic rituals, made in 1968. It was then licensed by the Church of Satan to Amarillo Records for a CD release. A rendition by Anton LaVey of his Hymn of the Satanic Empire was added, making this album a real treasure! Reptilian Records has licensed the Amarillo Records release, and re-released The Satanic Mass as well as Satan Takes a Holiday. The Compleat Witch (which originally had U.S. hardcover and paperback editions as well as an Italian hardcover edition in 1970-71) was re-released as The Satanic Witch in 1989 (See listing above). It has currently been updated with a new forward by High Priestess Nadramia and a new afterward by Magistra Blanche Barton.
