Church of Satan Sigil of Baphomet

Happy Birthday Magus Gilmore!

Happy birthday to me! In celebration of my 59th birthday today, I continue my tradition of giving a small gift to those who wish me well. Those close to Peggy and I know that we, like a number of his friends, used to sing along with Dr. LaVey’s keyboard playing and we have long had a cassette tape of some of those efforts which we’ve shared over the years with a very few discerning individuals.

From that recording I give you a performance of the song “Stout-Hearted Men” that I sang with Doktor in The Black House on California Street, now impeccably remastered by Reverend Gene Lavergne. Please follow this link and read my program note before downloading and listening to the song as the context is important, and you can read the lyrics—some of which are my own variation on the original. Listen past my amateur voice to enjoy Dr. LaVey’s exuberant, skilled accompaniment. After albums such as “The Three Tenors” I’ve called this “The Two Magi.”

My deepest thanks to all the exemplary individuals who enrich my life and assist me on so many projects—completed, in process, and yet to be realized. Your vital contributions to my many endeavors and your unique and masterful talents are collaborations that invigorate and stimulate me to realize my visions.

You know who you are and you’ve won my highest esteem and enduring love!

Hail to thee, my stout-hearted colleagues!

Hail Satan!
