Sex Dolls & Satanism: An Overview

The following is Magus Peter H. Gilmore’s statement provided to Rob Waugh of the Metro UK in preparation for his piece on the connection between The Church of Satan and the sex doll trend:

Anton LaVey promoted the idea of “artificial human companions” as a means for people to exercise sexual or other drives with a device that might gratify their fantasies without having to involve other human beings. This would permit complete control over the details of the fantasy. Of course, the ability to find porn that addresses numerous fetishes so easily on the Internet, and people’s use of it for gratification, rather side-tracked that premise. However, now that robotics is advancing, it seems that this field of endeavor is seeing new activity.

The Church of Satan doesn’t involve itself in these projects as our purpose is education regarding the religion and philosophy of Satanism, though some of our members find this to be of personal interest and are involved, though they wouldn’t necessarily reveal their affiliation as it might compromise their ability to broadly market successful products to a mass audience.

Additionally, Warlock Jimmy Psycho in 2015 provided Satanic insight on The New York Time’s coverage of RealDoll’s Realbotix project:

Decades ago, Dr. LaVey predicted a future industry of android companions. As we are making our way into the second decade of the 21st century, a genuine bond between man and machine is closer than ever. The company that introduced The RealDoll to the world has started a new enterprise called, Realbotix. This new effort brings robotics and artificial intelligence to the RealDoll, with an end goal towards creating the illusion of sentience within the doll enhancing this product’s apparent realism.

4. Development and production of artificial human companions
The forbidden industry. An economic “godsend” which will allow everyone “power” over someone else. Polite, sophisticated, technologically feasible slavery. And the most profitable industry since T.V. and the computer.
