What do Satanists believe?

Actually nothing at all!

A belief is an assumption about what you think is true.

Satanism is actually based on DOUBTING the so-called “common sense” beliefs of the world and then operating from that questioning attitude.

This is truly one of the few religions that is NOT based on BELIEVING things.

It is based on questioning things and that includes even questioning our own questioning!

Satanists do not subscribe to absolute CERTAINTY.

CERTAINTY is reserved for the religious fanatics who have been told by some authority (God, Allah, the Holy Bible, the Koran, the Vedas, etc.) what to believe is ABSOLUTELY TRUE about the nature of reality.

However, the SCIENTIFIC experts who study reality, modern physicists, have still NOT been able to come to any final agreement on the nature of reality and perhaps they never will.

So all of the faith-based BELIEFS are just trusting someone else’s opinions that NO ONE really can PROVE SCIENTIFICALLY are “true”. We don’t do that.

We QUESTION (“doubt”) those who claim to already know everything on the one hand.

On the other hand we are PRAGMATISTS.

I like to think of Satanism as the application of engineering to life. Like any good engineer we are far more interested in WHAT WORKS than just WHY something works.

And if we simply don’t know WHY something works, we are VERY WILLING to USE IT ANYWAY.

Satanism is not burdened with having to pretend that our assumptions are “true”.

We only care if our assumptions are USEFUL.

So this is light years away from the usual, common use meaning of the word “belief”.

Satanist really don’t “believe” anything!

We doubt the claims of others, and based upon what we find USEFUL work to build useful knowledge… NOT “certainty”.

Those who are DEAD CERTAIN their ideas about reality are the ABSOLUTE TRUTH are the usual fundamentalist fanatics of the common herd religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.).

We do NOT claim any form of God-like certainty.

We consider our perspective to be far more rational, sane, useful, and effective!

That’s Satanism.
