Apocrypha Debunked
The Church of Satan is a culturally impactful organization in existence for over half a century, with its founder, Anton Szandor LaVey, a man both dramatic and enigmatic. Thus, there have arisen myths, rumors, and outright lies concerning both him and the church. These have been circulated by those too ignorant to know better—who often have not researched the issues—but also by others with less than honest intentions regarding the characterizations they are maliciously crafting.
Thus, we offer this den of clarity, where we confirm or quash those many statements, innuendos, and outright fictions.
If you have any questions or concerns about the validity of a statement you have seen being spread online that is not yet covered here, feel free to reach out to us via social media or email so that we may have an opportunity for setting the record straight. Our archives contain a wealth of data from which the truth of past events can be documented.
