The Center for Inquiry is urging U.S. citizens to ask their Congressional representatives to support a resolution to designate February 12 as “Darwin Day” as a means towards “recognizing the importance of science in the betterment of humanity.” Satanism champions reason and science as the proper tools for understanding the Universe, so American Satanists might find this campaign worthy of their attention. Men say, “uh,” and women prefer, “um,” according to a recent study of conversational filler words. It seems that, in many cases, “uh” is used by men to prevent others from speaking, while “um” shows that a woman might be listening or thinking. This is in keeping with the gender contrasts explored most unabashedly in Anton LaVey’s The Satanic Witch.
