Today we celebrate the birthday of our founder, Magus Anton Szandor LaVey. As a young man, he saw that there was no existing philosophy that satisfied his own natural, carnal approach towards living. So, inspired by the symbol of the ultimate adversary, he intuitively synthesized from free-thinking predecessors a perspective to serve himself and many like-minded individualists.

We, who are his kith and kin—faithless and proud, salute his achievement that has given us a potent tool we can wield towards our own self-deification.

Hail to thee, Anton Szandor LaVey! You live on in us, as we move the world according to our will. Your immortality is assured through the inspiration you have given your kindred!
