Recorded in the ritual chamber of Magus Anton Szandor LaVey’s infamous 6114 California Street Victorian on Friday the 13th of September in the Year Three, Anno Satanas, this was the first recording in history of an authentic Satanic ceremony, celebrated by our High Priest and founder. The flip side has The Doktor dramatically intoning words over evocative classical music that previewed what was then his unreleased The Satanic Bible. Yes, the digitized CD of the legendary Satanic Mass album is readily available for purchase to us, but this LP with its unique cover notes—offering the hiss and pop of actual vinyl—can only be experienced with these original pressings which were kept in that very ritual chamber. We stopped selling these in the late 1980’s when Dr. LaVey realized we only had one box left, so none have been available—until now.
