MAGUS GILMORE IN “THE DEVIL AND PHILOSOPHY”

“In The Devil and Philosophy, 34 philosophers explore questions about one of the most recognizable and influential characters (villains?) of all time. From Roman Polanski’s The Ninth Gate to J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Silmarillion to Bram Stoker’s Dracula to Darth Vader to Al Pacino’s iconic performance in The Devil’s Advocate, this book demonstrates that a little devil goes a long way. From humorous appearances, as in Kevin Smith’s film Dogma and Chuck Palahniuk’s novelsDamned and Doomed, to more villainous appearances, such as Gabriel Byrne’s cold outing as Satan in End of Days, The Devil in Philosophy proves that the Devil comes in many forms.” The concluding section is an exchange between Magus Gilmore and […]

No moment is wasted as we pursue our chosen indulgences to the best of our abilities. We flame and toss the fires about us, warming those near with the energy of our existence. The […]

While we don’t proselytize, we do expect that bright folks will get the joke. The street address of Dr. LaVey’s original Black House in San Francisco has been removed, since it now no longer exists. SATAN WANTS YOU can now be yours in a choice of formats, so click on the image above to bring this part of our history home to your lair!
