The Magic of Horror‘s Artwork Contest has five different subject categories: Bloody Art, Spooky & Goth Art, Monster and Creature Art, Whimsical and Dark Humor Art, and Horror Fan Art. The winner of each category will receive a “Golden Bones” trophy.
We are accepting submissions for the 2024 Art Contest until August 15, 2024.
The Magic of Horror Festival will take place on Oct 5-6, 2024 in Wakefield, Virginia (near Richmond). Participating artists are not required to attend the event, but it is encouraged.
We will be featuring as many artists as possible over the two-day event.
All accepted artists will receive one free pass to the festival and have the opportunity to talk about their work to the audience. Selected artwork will also be shown in our 2024 Awards Video that premieres online at the same time as the awards ceremony at the live event. We will also regularly promote the art on our social media long after the event is over. (Seriously, we are still promoting films we selected from 2017!)
