The administration of the Church of Satan is pleased to note that non-theistic religions such as ours are now covered in the newly revised International Religious Freedom Act of 1998 signed into law on December 16th. Non-belief is now legally recognized as being equal to theism and similarly protected. We commend this rational progress towards equity of treatment. —Magus Peter H. Gilmore

Presidential hopeful John Kasich, the governor of Ohio, rashly proposed creating a governmental agency to promote “Judeo-Christian” values as part of his projected approach to national security should he be elected.
